Spain’s first acceleration program for industrial startups organizes its third edition with the support of ACCIÓ of the Generalitat de Catalunya
IQS Tech Factory, IQS’ center of entrepreneurship and Spain’s first acceleration program for industrial startups has launched a new edition of IQS Next Tech, the only industrial acceleration program in Spain, which this year once again has the support of ACCIÓ of the Generalitat de Catalunya.

Until May 31st IQS Next Tech is looking for 10 science-based startups, who have developed a hardware technology and whose next challenge is to create their first production series. To achieve this, the selected startups must have a proprietary and validated technology, a functional prototype and have at least two people full time committed to the startup. IQS Next Tech is looking for startups from the following sectors: food, automation, consumer goods, sports, energy and environment, new materials, chemistry, health, advanced industrial techniques and wearables.
From the prototype to a first production series for the industry

The selected companies, which will be presented on June 21 at the opening event of the new edition of the program, will embark on a six-month program that will allow them to enter each of the phases of the value chain of their technology to start the industrialization of their product.
From the month of July to January 2020, the 10 selected startups will work on the further development of their prototype-defining the necessary requirements for the design, implementation and manufacturing of their technologies- through workshops led by professionals specialized in product development, factory visits, founder stories from entrepreneurs with products in the market and individual meetings with a network of mentors formed by active innovation managers of large industrial corporations.
The IQS Next Tech program will close on January 23 with a Demo Day held within the framework of the IQS Tech Fest, the first industrial startups festival in Spain. The 10 startups of the program will present the advances of their technologies to more than 1,000 attendees and one of them will be chosen as the Most Promising Industrial Startup of 2019.
IQS Next Tech promoting the new generation of industrial companies

IQS Next Tech started its activity as a six weeks’ program focused on industrial startups, but last 2018 IQS Tech Factory decided to convert it into a six-month program with a very clear objective, to help industrial startups to industrialize their technologies. So far, IQS Next Tech has already accelerated 20 industrial startups, of which 50% are already marketing their technology.
