The inspirational day, organized by IQS Tech Factory, was attended by Ricard Abadias, IQS student and CEO of the startup dedicated to healthy eating
IQS Tech Factory, organized last February 8 the first Tech Experience of the new year. The inspirational day, which welcomed more than 100 participants and was led by Ricard Abadias, an IQS student and founder of Press&Reset, was a unique opportunity to discover for the first time his successful career in the world of entrepreneurship.
Ricard Abadias, studied Companies Administration and Management in IQS, specializing in Marketing. After several years and a long trajectory working for big multinationals like Henkel, Chupa Chups or L’Oreal, Abadías decided to change the course of his career and to bet for entrepreneurship. This was how Press&Reset was born, a company that unites the values behind healthy life, sport and healthy food, and which is currently one of the benchmarks in the detox products sector.
Today, healthy eating is becoming a booming practice and a philosophy of life, especially among young people. For this reason, more and more companies are committed to creating products that meet their characteristics. Press&Reset competes daily to position itself as a different company, which goes beyond a single detox product.
During the first part of the Tech Experience, Ricard Abadias defined what sets them apart from other juice companies focused on the same sector: “The pasteurization process used by all companies that make juices, which reaches more than 200ºC, provokes the loss of all vitamins, enzymes and nutrients. In contrast, the differential value of the Press&Reset’s industrial process lies in the technology used in juice production: a low temperature press and a very high-pressure exposure. “With this process, we managed to maintain all the fruits and vegetables original properties.”

In addition to keeping the original characteristics of the ingredients intact, Press&Reset offers more than just healthy eating. As Ricard Abadias explained during the day, his value proposition goes beyond the sale of a healthy juice, but they work to offer a varied detoxifying experience, adapted to the needs of each client. “Our main product is the juices, but we complement our offer with salads, biscuits, vegan muffins and cut fruit. It’s important to have a varied offer for the customers”. An example of this are the detox plans designed by company nutritionists. These consist of a diet based on seven daily juices for one, three or five days, which aims to cleanse the body of toxins and reset the digestive system of the consumer.
Beyond the value proposition of Press&Reset, the second part of the Tech Experience served to allow the participants to know the details, experience and anecdotes that Abadias has lived throughout his entrepreneurial career through an informal conversation between the CEO of the company and Oriol Pascual, director of IQS Tech Factory. The decision to choose and build a brand, the importance of the visual impact of the product or the marketing strategies were some of the topics that the public could know more closely.
Ricard Abadias, a graduate in 2005 in Business Administration and Management at IQS, took the opportunity to address the more than 70 students who were in the room and recount that some years ago he was also studying at the same university. Abadias emphasized the importance of taking advantage of all the opportunities that a center like IQS offers. He also emphasized versatility and multitasking as indispensable qualities for the entrepreneur: “You have to learn to play all the profiles, now I don’t only dedicate myself to marketing, I also do maintenance tasks among many other functions.” The Press&Reset CEO, addressing the youngest attendees of the audience, advised them to internationalize their academic and professional profile, to go abroad to learn other cultures, other languages and other ways of working.
Both the more than 100 attendees of the Tech Experience and the more than 500 visualizations that the streaming had, could know the IQS student entrepreneur’s project, Ricard Abadias, with which many people could feel identified. In addition, the day was developed in a constant dynamism with the use of social networks to direct questions to the speaker. The Tech Experience ended with the draw of a detox pack very kindly provided by Press&Reset.
